Small Church Communities

St. Gabriel offers parishioners a variety of spiritual growth experiences among them is participation in a Small Church Community where one can find ordinary people connecting faith with daily life.

What is a Small Church Community?
A group of 5-8 parishioners who regularly gather together in a home or other venue (as in the early church) to come to grips with the adventures of the lives of the Jesus, the Apostles and early disciples through the Sunday Scriptures.  The group reflects on and discusses the action-packed texts of the Old and New Testament with a view of seeing how these scriptures help one to fit faith with real life.

"Come As You Are" is the first step.
"Come As You Are" is a non-threatening, fun, getting to know you initial program.  It's a gentle get away from everything and relaxing facilitated series to help get you started. Since everyone is in the same boat as beginners, you don't have to know anything ahead of time.  After the meeting, you relax with your "new friends" with coffee, tea and some goodies.

The second step is moving into the Sunday Scriptures.
As soon as participants feel comfortable, then  making a choice of "Quest" or "Sunday by Sunday" both contemporary, easy to read leaflets which lead you into reflections on the weekend Scriptures .  Growth is instantaneous, fun and fulfilling!

ENJOY THIS RELAXING, ENERGIZING SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCE.

IT'S JUST LIKE A DAY AT THE BEACH!

MEN'S SATURDAY MORNING GROUP
8 AM
For years now, each Saturday morning some parish men have come together to share their lives as Catholic parishioners, husbands and fathers seeking a more solid spirituality.  They share their insights, concerns, and discover from one another how they can apply faith to their everyday lives.
The men sit in a circle across from the Tabernacle, the source of wisdom!
All men of the parish are welcome to take this Saturday time out!
Leo Robinson and Walter Nichols listen as  Jim WInkleman makes a point!
Prayerful support is an important part of the group's purpose.
